Today is my 101st blog post!

Yesterday was my 100th post and Miss Leigh guessed the answer correctly! Congratulations Leigh! Let me just say try and try and try again and never give up! That is just what she did! Heck I was going to give her a prize for allllllllllllllllllllll the funny comments she left! lol

So what's the plans for the weekend?

As you know we will be up at the house working!

I went over our work list with Mr. "S" last night so who knows what is going to get done! I know I will at least work on all the wallpaper in the house! Dad is coming up to run an electrical outlet under the house for the septic system! Mr. "S" and dad are also talking about working on the sofits on the side eves! Regardless what we do something on the list will be checked off!!

I'm excited about this weekend! Mr. "S" and I have taken the last few weekends off as far as working on the house! This weekend we will be right back at it! We have so much to do! As most of you know I posted a L-O-N-G list of to-do's a while back! So let me refresh the list!

Here we go with this weekends tackle:

• Tear down the hideous wallpaper in the kitchen and bathroom
• Rip up the horrifying vinyl flooring in the kitchen
• Install a new hot water tank
• Pull out the sliding glass doors and clean the tracks

We have so much more that needs to be done:

• Build steps and railing for the front porch
• Stain the front porch
• Replace the sofits on the side eves
• Patch the cracked sheet-rock
• Change out the shower head it's way to short for us tall people
• Install crown molding
• Install new base boards
• Trim out the windows
• Remodel the closet
• Paint, Paint, Paint
• Get new kitchen counter tops when we hit the lottery
• Get new kitchen appliances when we hot the lottery
• Install hardwood flooring when we hit the lottery
• Change out the plumbing in the bathroom sink
• Change out the faucet on the kitchen sink
• Change out the light fixture in the kitchen and utility room
• Change out the light fixtures on the front and back porch
• Change out the front door

See what I mean about needing to win the lottery! Gee Whiz we have so much to do! The good thing is some of the things are just cosmetic and minor! It's "WANTS" but not "NEEDS"!

So as time goes by we will knock a little off the list each weekend!

June 14th Lil Miss "H" is coming to visit us for a week along with some of Mr. "S" family such as his mom, sister and her husband and 2 kids! We are sooooooooooooo excited and can't wait! We've both taken vacation at work so we will spend the whole week running around to the zoo, the beach, museums, movies, Old McDonald Farm, fun restaurants, the pool, cook-outs and other fun things to do hopefully Splashtown! We are going to make this a memorable trip for Lil Miss "H"! A lot of you don't know the whole story about Lil Miss "H" but her mom (Mr. "S" ex-psycho wife) was refusing to let her come down to visit this summer. It's in the divorce papers that Mr. "S" gets his daughter for a full 42 days in the summer. She was telling her that once we got her down here we wouldn't let her go back home, we were going to keep her, etc. She was scaring Lil Miss "H" out of coming and at first it was working! Instead of being the "ADULT" and supporting her child to visit her father she was doing just the opposite. This year Lil Miss "H" is going to ride down with Mr. "S" mom and she will take her back home after the week is up! We want her to stay the full time but at the same time Mr. "S" doesn't want to scare her into staying down here the whole 42 days. He did say if she wants to stay she can. So we will see what happens on this trip! He said next year she won't have an option. She will be here for the full summer term!!! This is such a SAD situation to me! The psycho ex-wife is doing this out of bitterness and jealousy and it shouldn't be this way she is only hurting Lil Miss "H"! I hope one day when Lil Miss "H" gets bigger she will look back and see how her mother acted! If yall could only see what a GREAT dad Mr. "S" is!!! Frannie knows! When we were there last summer visiting...Frannie knew right off the bat how great of a dad he was. She actually even felt bad for him having to be around her family situation. She knew just by the look in his eye when he sat on the floor and played with Drama how much he loved his daughter! We are hoping that one day Lil Miss "H" will want to come live with us full time!

I'm sure some of you are wondering who left who and why is Lil Miss "H" in Ohio and Mr. "S" in Texas. That's a whole post on it's on! I will brief you in the next day or two! I will say they were all living in Texas as a family and the psycho moved Lil Miss "H" back to Ohio where her mother was. She thought Mr. "S" would come running after her and it didn't happen. Okay I can't wait till the next blog post! Mr. "S" and psycho were having problems. He worked and she didn't. She was a stay at home mom. He would come home and find her drinking and and sometimes even drunk. He had also suspected her to possibly be cheating on him. There was a few things that lead to their split. One day they had a few neighbors over at their apartment complex and they were grilling. There was this one single guy they were friends with that always hung around. He said he was going to the store and did anyone need anything. Psycho volunteered to go. Mr. "S" said the store was right around the corner and he would see it from the apartment balcony. He never saw them pull in and they were gone for a good while. He went outside and waited for them to come back and let her have it. He said it even looked like they kissed before they got out of the car. The next BIG thing was one night they were all out at the pool hanging out and Mr. "S" said he was going to go in and go to sleep. Well, he woke up several hours later to find her in the hot tub with a guy! He walked out there and said you are just wrong and walked off. He told her he better never catch her doing crap like that again. Well, two weeks later he gets up to go to work around 4am and doesn't see psycho so he walks out to the pool to find her once again in the hot tub with the same guy. He said we're done! Pack your crap and get out! He knew then deep down if she hasn't done anything with him they would soon been to that point. He said there was no way he would come home one day from work to find some other guy in his bed. So there ya have it. He was married to a real winner! She is a piece of work. She already has another baby from another guy that isn't even in her life. I feel for Lil Miss "H" having to be in that situation. Wooooo-Wheeee that was a lot to get out! So now yall know a little bit about that crazy part of our life!

What a weekend....

Wow-Wee....


We had a blast!

It all started Friday night doing the last minute shopping before we headed up to the lake Saturday morning!!! We went out to dads house he was getting ready for a bbq catering gig he was doing! He cooked two bbq briskets and 3 lbs of pinto beans for us to take to the lake! YUM-O!!! While we were waiting for the briskets to cook he tossed on some t-bone steaks, ny strip steaks and baked potatoes boy were they good!!!

Saturday morning we got up, loaded the truck up and hit the door running! We got to the lake unloaded the truck, Mr. "S" and Pop's went over to work inside the house and get the ac (window unit) hooked up! I broke out all the patriotic decoration so we could get everything hung and looking cute! My buddy Danielle showed up to help me and Pops hang everything up! Mr. "S" was still over at the house working! We finally got everything done around 4pm! After all the hard work we kicked back and enjoyed the cool breeze on Pop's back porch! Danielle and I took the golf cart down to the cafe in our subdivision to pick up some dinner! We didn't feel like cooking Saturday night because we had so much to cook on Sunday!

Sunday morning started at 7am for me and didn't let up till midnight!!! I woke up and started peeling 15 lbs of potatoes for my famous German Style potato salad! This is an OLD family recipe! After that it was peach cobbler time along with several different types of dip and sweet tea! Mr. "S" brother and girlfriend Lisa showed up so I started helping her get things set up in the kitchen so she could prep the kabobs! At this point I haven't showered so I run and do that people start showing up! I jump out of the shower and throw some clothes on! I'm running around like a chick with my head cut off from here on out! I would say it was around 10:30 and I didn't stop and take a break till after 2pm! After everyone ate we put all the food away because everyone was ready to go out on the boats and jet skies to play! This is where I get stressed! We had five boats and 4 jet skies with about 30 people that needed to be shuttled out to the sandy beach area of the lake! We don't have water front so this was the tricky part! Pop's neighbor was out of town so we used his boat dock! I was the one in charge of people being in his backyard and on his boat dock! I must have ran down there 6 different times with 5 - 8 people each trip! Wow-Wee I was wore out! I went back to the house to take something for my head it was beating like crazy! I was hot, stressed and really hadn't eaten anything! Any ways I finally made it to the water hole around 4pm! Here are some pictures of our fun!!!

It was such a pretty day! With a funny ending! Now I have to tell you the tow story! It was just our boat and John's boat left out at the swimming hole! We all loaded up and was ready to go except for Pop's boat wouldn't crank?!?! Why you might ask? Angie was sitting on an ice chest that was sitting on the fuel line! We didn't figure that out till we got back to the house and Pop's cranked the boat up!

Sunday night was the FIRST night we slept in our house! We all slept on air mattresses but it was neat just to say we stayed there for the first time! My brother had the front room with the futon and we had the air mattress in our room! Angie also brought an air mattress and set it up in our room because that is where the window unit ac was! I can't wait till we get our central air hooked back up! Texas it way to HOT for a window unit!

Monday we didn't do much of anything! Cleaned up, packed up went down to the boat dock to help Pop's with his boat and his girlfriends jet ski hung out for a little while and hit the road by noon! When we got home I took a four hour nap! I was sooooooooooooooooooo wore out! I woke up ate some left-overs and made Mr. "S" some homemade chocolate chip cookies! He's probably thinking I need to take naps more often!!!

After we eat and hang out we are going out to play on the lake! There will be several boats and jet skies! I went to Academy Wednesday night and bought this really cute Flower shaped Floaty that has a head rest and 3 cup holders!!!! You can click here to see it!!! Click here to see the one I already had! I figured we could tie these off the boat and layout! I know, I know...SPF!!! =) So, I'm so excited it's going to be a weekend full of fun!!!

We will also have volleyball, horseshoes, washers and bolo toss at the house!!!

Swimsuit Shopping

Let me just say that Mr. "S" and I went and did what the blog title says last night after work!!!

We had a FUN trip to the mall and many other stores around town! It was a fun trip minus the swimsuit shopping and trying them on!!! We had dinner at my #1 favorite place to eat fast food and that would be Chick-fil-A!!! It was YUM-ERS like always!!! They were making FRESH sweet tea as we were waiting in line!!!! Boy did that hit the spot that is my fat girl weakness!!!

Okay back to the swimsuit shopping!!! It was horrible I couldn't find anything I like! I looked like a fat whale and everything felt way to tight!!! It was a miserable trip! I did manage to find (2) swimsuits for this coming weekend (you might think two swimsuits is good but I tried on probably 50)!!!! I needed a new swimsuit because we are hosting a HUGE party about 45 people at Pop's lake house this Memorial day weekend!!! Woooooo-Whoooooo party on!!!

Back to swimsuits...I can't get over how high dollar they are?!?!?! Why?!?!?! It's a little bit of nothing!!! I can't get over it??? I bought one swimsuit at the mall and one at Wal-Mart!!! I hate to say it Wal-Mart had a better selection than the mall!!! For real...I never would have thought?!?!?! That is why we went to the mall first!! Oh yeah and it was like 1/3 of the cost!!! For real!!! I bought the swimsuit and two dress-like cover-ups for the same price I paid for my swimsuit at the mall!!! The only reason I was okay with paying the price at the mall was because I had a gift card for that store from my birthday!!! UGH!!! It was ridiculous!!!

I'm not someone to buy a new swimsuit each summer! Heck I've had some of my swimsuits for 3 or 4 summers in a row! They don't wear out, they don't really fade because of the material they are made of so why not recycle each and every year? Well, not this summer because I've managed to gain about 20-30 pounds! For real! Yall may not be able to see it in the pictures but I have!!! I promise!!! So this year I didn't have an option but to go buy a big girl swimsuit...UGH!!! =( I give you my word these swimsuits will NOT be going on the cruise with us in March! I have 9 months to lose 30 pounds!!!

Okay girls....lets talk swimsuits....Let me hear it!!!

~ If you had a nightmare trip to the stores (like I did) for a mirror of realization let me hear it!

We are getting married Mach 4, 2009! Save the date yall!!!
I couldn't wait share the details and allllllllllllllll of our excitement!!!
So now that you know the wedding date you must know our itinerary (It's GREAT):

We are going on a 7 Day Western Caribbean Cruise!!!
We will spend seven days cruising to the most beautiful ports in the Western Caribbean with our friends and family. Wooooooooo-Whooooooo!!!

• 1st day we will leave port
• 2nd day is a fun day at sea
• 3rd day is a fun day at sea
• 4th day we will be in Montego Bay, Jamaica where we will get married on the beach!
• 5th day we will be in Grand Cayman, Cayman Island
• 6th day we will be in Cozumel, Mexico
• 7th day is a fun day at sea

We are kind of doing things backwards!!! The cruise is booked!!!

Mr. "S" still wants to ask my dad for permission...just in case dad says "NO" which I know he won't our deposit on our cruise is refundable!!! lol =)

We need to go pick out rings! Yeah, I don't have a ring yet! Well, I do have a ring but it's not an engagement ring. It was a promise ring that Mr. "S" bought me for Christmas! You can see it here! It was so funny because I blogged about my Christmas gifts and EVERYONE asked if it was an engagement ring! Any ways about the rings...I'm thinking we might wait till we are in the house and done with all the house repair expenses! A ring is a ring is a "RING"! lol I don't want us to get in debt over our house payment, house repairs, new gas saving car (coming Oct/Nov 2008), our current rent (till the end of Sept), our cruise (we are paying it out till December 15ht) and a "RING"! I don't want us to start our life together "IN DEBT"!!! As much as a want a fancy, beautiful ring I also want to be realistic! We have a lot on our plate right now!!! So when the "RING" gets here I will for sure share it will you all!!!!

I'm guessing I'm not going to get an "ACTUAL" proposal!!! Heck, we already bought a house together what more do I need to say this is for the L-O-N-G haul?!?!

So don't forget this is a secret! =) Dad still doesn't know!!! I'm hoping and praying that dad will go on the cruise with us!!! This is sooooooooo not like something he would do!!!

There is still no update on the "NEWS"!!! I will keep ya posted! Sorry to keep ya waiting I know a lot of you are VERY curious!!!

My buddy Leigh wrote me a SWEET email yesterday and this was part of it, "Whatever you put your heart and mind to you can do" thank you for the encouraging words at a time when I needed them!!! You are one of the SWEETEST people I know!!! I'm sure we have all heard those words before but it was the way she wrote them and what they were directed towards that meant the most to me!!! She had emailed me about the post I did here! She was just following up and seeing if Mr. "S" and I have made a decision on our drive?!?! Well, we have made a decision and we are going to make the drive from our lake house to H-Town each and everyday of the week!!! Mr. "S" and I can do it!! We can make sacrifices to live where we have made our home!!! We are stuck in our apartment lease until the end of September so we have now til then to get the house fully livable!!! No more ditching work list!!! =) After this one last weekend (Memorial Day) of soaking up the sun and having fun Mr. "S" and I will be back to the grind!!! Working to knock out the to-do list!!! That gives us four months which should be plenty of time!!!

Sunday....
We got up early and went for breakfast at a local cafe! It was yummy! This place makes the BEST potatoes in town!!! We ran to our favorite HUGE store that is in every town across the US to pick up mailbox and a few other things that I couldn't leave without! After that we went back to Pop's house (Mr. "S" dad) to get ready to take the boat and jet ski out!!!
